STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN MASTER CLASSES & COACHING BY
OTHER TEACHERS
I have asked several of my more serious, practicing students to play and be coached in
Master Classes and to take special coaching from visiting artists or teachers who
often judge state/national competitions. This exposes them to different teaching
styles and furthers their musical education. I sit in on the lessons and make notes so
we can work on the teacher's recommendations in future lessons.
TUITION & PAYING ON TIME
My monthly tuition for one-half hour lessons is $70.00, for 45 minute lessons -
$105.00 and one hour is $140.00. Lessons for partial months for new students and
extra lessons are $22.00 per one-half hour. Special coaching for non-students is
$50.00 per hour.
Your paying me the first week of the month lets me pay my bills on time. This is
very important to me and I thank you.
Tuition Covers:
. 38 private lessons between August and June
. 2 studio recitals and related costs
. up to 20 weekend events
. planning and set-up of events

PRO-RATED MONTHLY TUITION
I take the lesson rate times the number of weeks I actually teach (38 not 52) and
divide that annualized number by 12 to obtain the monthly rate. If I did not do that
one month you would pay $22 and another month you would pay $110. I need to
count on receiving a steady and on-going tuition to make this a viable living.
FOR EXAMPLE: 38 lessons * $22.00 = $836 per year. Then I divide $836 by 12
months = $70.00 per month, which is what you are paying.
Private lessons are the heart of the entire studio experience, but only represent part of
the complete package covered by tuition.
